Portage County Clothing Center
Volunteers from University Church assist the staff of the clothing center on the first Friday of each month from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.. We help with the registration of shoppers, the control of merchandise, and the check out process. This is a very rewarding experience for our volunteers.

Kent Social Services
Hot Meals: Volunteers from our church serve the Thursday night Hot Meals program every 9 weeks from 3:30-5:30 p.m. at Kent Social Services.
Lord’s Pantry: We strive to practice mindful shopping habits in our lives. Each time we go grocery shopping we buy a few extra non-perishable goods. We, then, place them in a box located at the front of our sanctuary each Sunday as part of our giving. It’s not hard to do, but it makes a big difference for people in need in Kent.

Habitat for Humanity
University Church is a Covenant Church of Habitat for Humanity. We have members who volunteer in many ways, including serving on the board. We keep the ministry in our prayers, and will join with Habitat in their renovation of homes as a community.
