Mission Pledge

The Annual Fund helps support the denomination’s evangelism, church planting, education and justice work as well as ministry to children, youth, older adults, new immigrants, rural, urban and suburban populations across the United States and around the world. The Annual Fund also makes possible PW in the Congregation, Presbytery, Synod and Churchwide, as well as PW’s programs, resources, events and much more.
The USA Mission Experience, Horizons magazine and Bible study, the Global Exchange, justice work and so much more could not happen without your financial support. Your gift to PW’s Annual Fund (the Mission Pledge) ensures that this caring community of women can continue its witness to the promise of God’s kingdom.

Horizons Magazine

Horizons is the magazine (and Bible study) by and for Presbyterian Women. It’s the resource for helping you explore where faith and life connect. Focusing on issues of faith – from the interplay between literature and theology to violence against women – Horizons gives you insights from women around the world and inspiration to live boldly. Within the pages of Horizons, you will find a wealth of information you need to live in faith as a Presbyterian Woman. Inside you will find mission stories, ideas for justice and peace work, information about Presbyterian Women and our denomination, the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.), devotions, Bible study resources (to support the annual PW/Horizons Bible study) and a short Bible study on the issue’s theme! Horizons is just for you because Horizons is about you and your sisters in faith, amazing Presbyterian Women!

Bible Study

Bible study is the glue that holds Presbyterian Women together. PW/Horizons Bible studies are prepared quite literally by and for Presbyterian women. The PW Purpose calls Presbyterian Women to nurture faith through prayer and Bible study. PW/Horizons studies are written from within the Reformed tradition and strengthen the Presbyterian Church (USA).

Giving

Fellowship of the Least Coin is a global, ecumenical prayer movement. This movement links prayer and “least coins” in a very significant way, as the least coin of each participant becomes a symbol of prayer for peace and reconciliation. Coins offered from around the world signal our oneness in our common quest for peace, justice and reconciliation.

The Thank Offering provides much-needed financial assistance to 20 to 30 worthwhile programs each year. The recipients are always a mix of domestic and international projects, but all meet crucial needs.

Each year, the Birthday Offering awards grants to up to five programs. Primarily making possible capital improvement projects, the Birthday Offering supports domestic and international ministries, focusing on areas such as agricultural development, child care, community organization, criminal justice, drug counseling, economic justice, elderly care, employment training homelessness, literacy, violence.
