The time is here again. It’s the beginning of another year. It’s 2023. The past year is behind all of us and a new year has begun. Many of us set goals each year that we call resolutions. Depending on the year we may be ambitious with those goals or cautious. What were some the goals you set for yourself last year? How many of those would you consider goals related to your spiritual life? How well did you stay on track with those goals? There are some years I have tracked my goals very well and other years where they have been derailed by the end of January.
The new year is a great time to hit the “reset” button. If you failed meeting 2022 goals or in others ways, put those failures behind you. Let them go! It’s a brand new year, and a great opportunity for a fresh start. If you haven’t already, I encourage you to spend some time in prayer asking God to guide you toward 3 personal goals. When you have a sense what those goals will be share them with 3 other people in the church. And, when many of us hear the the goals of others, let us pray for one another. God continues “to will and work” within us in 2023.
