Children

Nursery - We welcome children ages birth to 2 years during Christian Education time, and ages birth through 4 years during worship. The Church Nursery is to be a place where children are safe and cared for while their parents attend worship or Sunday School. We hope that our attendants provide a happy time of constructive, stimulating play. At this age, our main goal is to instill in children a sense that they are a part of a large, loving church family. The church nursery claims only a small part of their time during the week, but it is the child’s first exposure to Christian community. Nursery attendants are very important to these children during the hour they spend here. They establish control, letting children feel safe, but also allow them plenty of freedom to play as they wish.

Preschool - (Ages 3 to 5)
Preschool children (ages 3 to 5) will learn basic Bible stories from the Old and New Testaments. They discover Biblical truths through a variety of “hands-on” activities, including games, crafts, snacks and creative and interactive storytelling

Youth

Middle School – (Grades 5, 6, 7, 8 ) - We emphasize Bible-based Discipleship process and follow a Presbyterian curriculum that assures that the key messages of the Bible are covered over a three-year period. On many Sundays, the class goes over to the KSU Hub or other fine fast food restaurants for community and refreshments. Be sure to be on time so you won’t be left behind if we leave to hold class elsewhere.

Meets in room 109 promptly at 10:20 a.m. each Sunday.

Adult Sunday Morning Discipleship Opportunities

Hesed Seekers Bible Study: God has made us the light to the world. The class is discussing the question: “If this is so, in which responsibilities do we share? It meets in Room 111 at 10:20 a.m.
The Explorers class extends a warm welcome to all interested parties and looks at the relevance of scripture for current events. The class uses a participatory format, which often leads to lively discussion. We meet in the Library, which is off Grazier Hall (downstairs) at 10:20 a.m. Sunday.

Faith and Life Class: All are welcome in the parlor at 10:20 a.m.

Wednesday Morning Bible Study

This group has been a vital part of KPC Christian Education and fellowship for many years. This group now has approximately 20 participants. This Group meets in members’ homes, or the Church parlor. Fellowship begins at 9:30 a.m., Bible Study at 10:00 a.m. See the weekly calendar for locations.

Women’s Circles

Circles meet once a month (except in July and August) as follows:
Ruth Circle: first Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. in the church parlor.
Sojourners Circle: first Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. in church parlor
Sarah Circle: first Thursday at 7:30 p.m. in members’ homes.
Men’s Bible Study

Meets each Saturday morning at 9:00 a.m. in the church parlor.

Women’s Book Study

Meets each Saturday morning at 9:00 in the church library.

Women’s Grief Support Group

Meets the last Thursday of each month in the church parlor.
